Sigfrido D. Ciletti
PhD candidate, Australian National University
I’m a PhD candidate in the School of Computing at the Australian National University, supervised by Dirk Pattinson, Marcus Hutter, Kee Siong Ng and Ranald Clouston. I’m currently in London as an Iliad Fellow.
I work on the mathematical foundations of prediction and verification in learning systems. My thesis develops a domain-theoretic account of approximations to Solomonoff induction, treating practical, resource-bounded predictors as converging approximations to the universal prior. With Kee Siong Ng, I’ve also developed test martingales that detect when a Bayesian sequence predictor is misspecified. Earlier, I proved zero-one laws for intuitionistic and modal logics.
I also run the Australasian Algorithmic Information Theory Reading Group. The timetable is on the Universal Algorithmic Intelligence community site.
